The bill (Reg. No. 2298) is elaborated according to the Law “On Space Activity,” according to which “space activity in Ukraine is implemented on the basis of the Nationwide (National) Space Program of Ukraine that is elaborated for five years and is approved by the Verkhovna Rada.”
The Program aimed at increasing effectiveness of space potential to solve actual tasks of social-economic, cultural, informational and scientific-educational development of society, ensuring national security and security of geopolitical state interests.
Particularly, it suggests improving mechanism of state support and provision of investment attractiveness of space activity.
The Program determines the ways and methods of solving problems, presents list of tasks, measures and terms, volumes and sources of financing, and the main predicted results of its implementation.
The estimated budget of the program is 2.58 billion.
