The Committee on the Rule of Law and Justice recommends that Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the bill on amendments to article 29 “On Supreme Council of Justice” (re improvement of procedure of submissions to the appointment to the post of judge for the first time)

During the meeting of the Committee it was noted that the bill (Reg. No. 2471) aimed at improving the procedure of submissions to the appointment to the post of judge for the first time.

The bills suggest amending article 29 of the Law “On Supreme Council of Justice”, excluding clauses 4 and 5 of the second part.

In addition, it was noted that the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat and the National Academy of Legal Sciences agreed with the changes proposed by the bill.
