Addressing participants of the event, Liliya Hrynevych stressed that “science should be a separate transparent priority of state policy”.
Chairperson of the Committee noted that there are specific features of crises in science today. This is the so-called optimization of science, or reduction of expenditures on science; as well as lack of single state innovational strategy. L.Hrynevych believes that all this reduces scientific potential of the country.
“Young talented scientists today massively move abroad. Ukraine has actually become an importer of intellectual resource. We should stop this tendency and create a living environment for the development of science,” emphasized the people’s deputy.
She believes that investments in science should be increased; science should be financed at the level guaranteed by the law; and business should be stimulated to introduce innovations.
