The bill (Reg. No. 2356) is aimed at creating the basis for activating investment activity by supporting priority directions of development of economy with the aim of implementation of new and energy-saving technologies and creation of new working place.
The Committee Members stressed that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat in its conclusions deems that the adoption of the bill is inexpedient.
People’s deputies noted that the specialized (free) economic zones are created by the Verkhovna Rada on the initiative of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers or local councils and local state administration in the manner specified by the Law "On general principles of the formation and functioning of specialized (free) economic zones."
