The bill (Reg. No. 2749) determines legal basis for monitoring of state assistance to economic entities and exercising control over admissibility of such aid for competition aiming at ensuring protection and development of competition; increasing level of transparency of functioning of the system of state assistance, as well as adherence to international obligations of Ukraine in this sphere.
The Chairperson of the Committee Oleksandra Kuzhel stressed that the bill was elaborated for Ukraine to fulfill its international obligations, determined by the WTO Agreement, Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Community and Ukraine and the Agenda of the EU-Ukraine Association.
According to O.Kuzhel, “so far all attempts to establish control over provision of state service to homeless were unsuccessful, despite the fact this was one of the requirements of Ukraine’s accession to the EU. That is why the draft law “On State Assistance to Economic Entities” is extremely topical”.
