Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, commented upon the latest release of the Russian comedy show "Velyka Riznytsia" (Great Difference) on the First Russian Channel, where the parody on the image of Viktor Yanukovych, the President of Ukraine, was demonstrated. At the same time, ICTV channel that broadcasts this program in Ukraine did not show this parody. Mykola Tomenko declared that he objected to such censorship on ICTV channel. However, he admitted that the story "mocks not only Viktor Yanukovych, but also Ukrainians and Ukraine."
"It is significant that such a material on the popular Russian channel was broadcast on the background of admiration expressed by the Ukrainian dignitaries towards the Russian authorities", M. Tomenko emphasised. " I wonder whether the members of Yanukovych team would react to the utter disrespect for the Ukrainian President expressed by the leading Russian channel", the politicians stated.
