Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the Stand of the Parliamentary Opposition that blocked the Lectern of The Verkhovna Rada on Friday Morning, is Illogical
Opening the exhibition of photos and archival documents "Human Rights in Ukraine: the Past and the Present" organized on the eve of the special meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dedicated to the 60th anniversary of signing the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of 1950, V.Lytvyn reminded of the agreement on the Government Question Hour, and the reports of Dmytro Tabachnyk, Minister of Science and Education, and Serhii Tihipko, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, to be presented that day.
The Head of the Parliament believes that blocking of the parliamentary work by the opposition is unacceptable. "What are our intentions then? It is not an appropriate way to fight for the human rights", V. Lytvyn declared.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also announced that S. Tihipko is on the leave now, although, he is ready to answer all the questions of the Deputies. According to the Head of the Parliament, he talked with the Deputy Prime Minister who is staying in Simferopol. V.Lytvyn emphasised that the Ministers responsible for the social-economic block that had been invited to the Parliament together with the Minister of Science and Education have already arrived to the Verkhovna Rada.
V. Lytvyn claimed that he could not understand the logic of the opposition. "It resembles convulsions. Searching the reasons for conflicts is a road to nowhere", he added. The Head of the Parliament declared that it created problems for the society and state.
V. Lytvyn stated that the special sitting of the parliament should start at 14.30. "I hope that there would be no factious and groundless reasons to disrupt this event. There is a limit to absurdity",
