The Agreement was signed in Luxemburg on 15 June 2010. It arranges the necessary conditions to support the functioning of the EIB Representation Office in Ukraine and foster efficient cooperation between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank.
Pursuant to the document, Ukraine gives a consent that the European Investment Bank can set up a Representation Office of the Bank in Ukraine.
Pursuant to the agreement, "The EIB Representation Office is chaired by the Head of the EIB Representation Office in Ukraine and (or) Deputy Chairman of the EIB Representation Office in Ukraine, It employs the officials and other Bank specialists, as well as other employees of the Representation Office."
The EIB Representation Office is authorized to place the flag and the emblem of the Bank and the European Union on its buildings, in particular, on the building of the residence of the Head of the EIB Representation Office in Ukraine and transport vehicles of the Head of the EIB Representation Office in Ukraine.
Ratification of the Agreement opens the EIB Representation Office in Ukraine, strengthens the cooperation, gives new opportunities for the implementation of the projects on social-economic development, etc.
