The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the Resolution "On ensuring Unobstructed Activities by the Media during the Election Campaign of 2010"

Under the Resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Tax Administration, and the law enforcement bodies shall take action to suspend checks of media outlets by the executive authority bodies and public authorities for the period of elections of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Crimean Autonomous Republic, local councils, and village, township and city mayors on October 31, 2010 року.

The draft resolution was registered under Reg. No. 7100.
