The attendants of the discussion debated implementation of the State Tourism Development Program for 2002-2010, and the areas of cooperation between the legislative and the executive authority bodies and the expert and public organizations.
The speakers declared that the State Tourism Development Program for 2002-2010 had been implemented only partially due to the lack of budget financing. They suggested drafting a National Comprehensive Program subject to ratification by The Verkhovna Rada to support sustainable development of tourism and recreation.
The participants of the discussion deem necessary to adjust the bill "On Tourism", provide legislative support of the rural green tourism, strengthen legal protection of tourism services consumers, and introduce compulsory insurance of professional responsibility of tour operators.
