Ratification of the Agreement shall enable the Parties to render mutual legal assistance in the transfer of convicted offenders to serve the sentence in the country of their citizenship.
The Agreement defines the concepts used, and determines the grounds for the institution of the transfer procedure. The ministries of justice are considered as the central bodies in charge of implementing the Agreement.
