The bill (Reg. No.4719) regulates the issues regarding potential privatization of enterprises producing spirits, vodka, alcoholic beverages, and wine-producing industry enterprises, and their activity.
Discussing the bill, the Committee members emphasised that "if all the distilling companies were put up for privatization, then only profitable entities would be privatized, while unprofitable ones would remain in the state ownership." Furthermore, the People´s Deputies believe that privatization of distilling companies may result in the loss of control over the alcohol production and circulation.
Thus, the Committee members resolved to recommend the Parliament to forward the bill on amendments to several Laws of Ukraine regarding reforms of the several agricultural sectors for adjustment.
