Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, addressed the letters to the international parliamentary organizations with an invitation to delegate the observers to the elections of the local authorities.
Notably, the letters were addressed to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the European Parliament.
Elections of the local authorities are scheduled for October 31, 2010.
