The State Budget for 2011 will be adopted by the New Year. Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement, giving an interview to the journalists on Thursday. "There is no other way out", he added.
V. Lytvyn reminded that as Ukraine cooperates with IMF, the guidelines envisaged by the agreement should be followed, particularly, on the budget deficit. He announced that the Government was drafting the budget to be adopted on the new tax principles.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had a conversation with the Minister on Finance of Ukraine Fedir Yaroshenko, who claimed that the Ministry was working on the Draft Tax Code to be presently adopted ‘with amendments and remarks.´
The Head of the Parliament informed the mass media that the Tax Code shall be adjusted for the second reading by November 5, 2010. However, V. Lytvyn calls for harmonizing its provisions with the President who signs the Code. He also called for coordinating opinions of the critics of the Draft Tax Code submitted for the parliamentary scrutiny.
