The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Civil Code of Ukraine (re Regulation of Legal Relations between the Guardianship and Wardship Authorities and the Individuals in Need of Guardianship and Custody)

The bill (Reg. No. 6408) amends the Civil Code of Ukraine to determine the guardianship and wardship authorities, and specify the groups of individuals entitled to guardianship and custody.

Under the bill, "guardianship and wardship authorities are district, district in the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol state administrations, executive agencies of municipal, district-in-the-city, village and township councils."
