The National Environmental Policy Strategy
of Ukraine is construed as an utterly important document for environmental
protection, balanced use of natural resources and national security. The
strategic aim of the national environmental policy is preservation of the
natural ecosystems, support of their integrity, improvement of life and health
standards, provision of environmental safety, and introduction of a balanced nature
management system for a sustainable social development.
The bill (Reg. No. 7053) ratifies the principles
of development and implementation of the national environmental policy. Its
conceptual provisions are as follows: the principles of the national environmental
policy; aims, goals and
tasks of the national environmental policy; tools and methods of implementation
of the national environmental policy; stages of implementation of the national environmental
policy; expected results.
