On Friday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Bronisław Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland.
The meeting took place in the framework of the Seventh Annual Yalta Meeting "Ukraine and World: Re-Thinking and Moving On."
The Parties discussed organization of the Third Meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Sejm and Senate of Republic of Poland, and the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania to be held in Vilnius on October 7-8, 2010.
The Parties underscored the significance of this event, as the crucial issue to be discussed by the Assembly attendants is energy security. This issue, which was also debated at the Seventh Annual Yalta Meeting, was considered as pressing.
The high-ranking officials also discussed parliamentary cooperation between the countries as an important constituent of strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland.
