Today we can clearly say: no one in the world offers an alternative to the Ukrainian Formula for Peace, which was announced by the President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. This approach is based on international law, on the principles of the UN Charter and is a universal set of mechanisms, as it addresses not only current challenges.
This was stated by Arsenii Pushkarenko, the Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.
“We are not proposing anything new, we simply demand that international law and the UN Charter return to Ukraine. That is why more and more states support the Ukrainian Peace Formula. Since the meeting in Malta, the number of supporters of this initiative has been growing with each subsequent event on international platforms, and world politicians have expressed their readiness to implement this Formula. It is significant that it is universal and applies not only to the current security challenges that have arisen due to russia’s attack on Ukraine,” the MP said.
According to him, in this context, the Global Peace Summit, which is being prepared by our country, is becoming increasingly important.
“More and more countries support the idea of holding such a summit and agree that this event will focus not only on the future architecture of European, but also global security. Leaders of states understand that Ukraine is now defending the continent, and the escalation in the Middle East is increasing global security challenges,” the MP said.
