After the russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced a collection of aid for the affected residents. Both the staff of the Secretariat and the Members of Parliament of Ukraine joined the initiative.

In total, about 40 tonnes of drinking water, food, animal feed, personal hygiene products, clothes and footwear for men, women and children, household chemicals and a generator were delivered to the residents of Kherson region.

The Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Viacheslav Shtuchnyi handed over three trucks with humanitarian aid to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin during his working visit to Kherson.
