“Last year, the Ukrainian agricultural sector demonstrated good results, especially considering that russia invaded our territory just before the sowing season”, – Dmytro Solomchuk, the MP, the Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.

“Ukrainian farmers, large companies, and small households, together with the government, coped with the challenges and showed quite good results last year, especially in the areas of crops and livestock,” the politician said.

According to him, last year the Ukrainian agricultural sector received significant support, which will continue this year due to the attraction of external funds and the implementation of various programs.

“Work is ongoing in this direction, and there is already some evidence of support for small farmers and households. In particular, we are talking about assistance with machinery from the Harvest of Victory Foundation and Howard Buffett, who helped us last season. We are currently purchasing tractors and seeders, which will be delivered free of charge in the spring to the Kherson region to those farms where the russians destroyed or stole equipment,” the parliamentarian emphasized.

He also reminded that thanks to the initiative of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Grain from Ukraine program was launched to prevent hunger in the world due to russia’s actions.
