The meeting was attended by World Bank Regional Director for Eastern Europe Arup Banerjee, World Bank Infrastructure and Sustainable Development Program Manager in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Baher El-Hifnawi, Leading Economist and Economic Policy Program Manager for Eastern Europe (Belarus,  Moldova and Ukraine) Carlis Smith.
During the meeting, issues of state development were discussed, which can be more effectively addressed by World Bank experts in Ukraine. Emphasis was also placed on the framework program of cooperation with Ukraine for 2022-2025 'Support for the development and prosperity of Ukraine.'
In particular, an agreement was reached on the use of experience and involvement of the World Bank's expertise in the implementation of the National Targeted Social Program 'Drinking Water of Ukraine.'
According to the concept of this program, during its implementation it is planned to implement 1,747 projects, including the construction of 290 water intake facilities, 280 water supply and treatment facilities, and the construction of 1,093 water supply networks. According to projected estimates, the implementation of the program will provide drinking water to 7.4 million people by 2026 (inclusive).
The participation of the World Bank could help ensure optimal financing of such an important government project.  It was also about modernizing the irrigation system of agricultural lands in Ukraine.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation.
