The members of the Committee considered the draft Law No. 5009 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Simplification of Connection to Electric Networks”. The purpose of the adoption of this bill is to significantly simplify the procedure for connecting to the electrical networks of electrical installations of customers, reducing the number of procedures, documents and approvals, a significant reduction in the time spent by customers on connection, removal of artificial restrictions and removal of barriers in the procedure of connection to the electricity grid, introduction of the "single window" mechanism for submitting appeals, applications, inquiries, obtaining information, initial data necessary for the design and implementation of construction and installation works, approval of design documentation for construction, reconstruction and re-equipment of customers' electrical installations.
Supporting the changes proposed by the bill in general, the deputies of Ukraine - members of the Committee made a number of comments and suggestions and decided to send them to the Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services, which is determined to be the main drafting of the bill.
