After the noon recess, a decommunization crusade issue was put out for
debate. In dispute, there was the bill No.4906 drafted to rename the Kirovohrad
district of the Kirovohrad oblast (region).

According to the law on de-communization, the parliament passed the resolution No.4906 “On renaming the Kirovohrad district of the Kirovohrad oblast”. The district was given a new name – the Kropyvnytskyi district.

The parliament adopted the above resolution drafted to include in the current session’s agenda a bill on renaming the Kirovohrad oblast and further filing it to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to be examined for compliance with the Articles 157 and 158 of Ukraine’s constitution.
