Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Parubii plants small apple tree in Parliament's yard

Over the last 20 years, every newly appointed chairperson of the Ukrainian legislature has planted a tree near the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii expressed his respect to such tradition. "A tree is a symbol of new life, a symbol of planet's purification, a symbol of something new," he said.

People's deputy of six convocations Yaroslav Kendzior assisted the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada in plating the tree.
