The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olexander Moroz stresses that the early election are breaking up society.
O.Moroz analyzed in detail current political situation in Ukraine, while speaking to the Cherkasy community on Friday during his working visit to Cherkasy region on the occasion of the 16th Anniversary of Independence Day of Ukraine.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized that fight for access to absolute power is one of the reasons for holding early parliamentary election.
According to O.Moroz, "another reason is unwillingness to implement the Constitutional reform on the local level." However, he stated that "there will be no incentive for the development of people´s initiative, unless we make the local authority as powerful, as it is in Europe."
"It was necessary to dissolve The Verkhovna Rada and to amend the Constitution in order to revert to authoritarian model of authority," emphasized O.Moroz.
Dwelling on the issue of becoming a member of the NATO, O.Moroz reminded that the majority of population objects to joining the Union.
