The Sub-group Meeting held on 20 November studied the Documents and Motions.
Those attending the Meeting agreed on and carried several draft documents: the text of The Oath of the People's Deputy of Ukraine; the general scenario for the Ceremonial Meeting and Opening of the First Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th Convocation, and the Agenda, in order of sequence to be considered at the First Session before the Membership of the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been confirmed.
The Sub-Group Members failed to reach agreement as to the number of members in the Returning Board, which will be considered at the Meeting of the Preparatory Deputy Group, as suggested by the Sub-group.
The Sub-group will also suggest that the Preparatory Deputy Group elects the five Members of the Interim Presidium of the First Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th Convocation, one member from each political force represented in Parliament.
Attending the Sub-group Meeting were the Chief Executives of the Television and Radio Broadcasting State Committee of Ukraine, Ukraine's National TV Company, and Ukraine's National Radio Company. They reported their readiness to provide a full and live broadcast of the Oath taking by the People's Deputies of Ukraine, the Opening of the First Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Plenary Meetings of the First Session until the end of the year. Broadcasting of The Verkhovna Rada activities in 2008 will be resolved once the State Budget for the coming year has been adopted.
Members of the Sub-group also amended the Invitation List for the Ceremonial Meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the purpose of which is for the Taking of the Oath by the newly elected People's Deputies and the opening of the First Session. They suggest that the Heads of the Regional State Administrations are included in this List.
