Fire Was Reported in one of the Verkhovna Rada Buildings Currently Under Repair

On Monday 15 October, a fire started in 3 Sadova Street, one of the buildings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, currently under repair.

According to the Administrative Division of the Verkhovna Rada´s Office, at 12.20 am a litter bin caught fire in Room No.601 at the above address. Within several minutes personnel from the Administrative Division quenched the fire using a fire-extinguisher. No material loss or damage occurred.

We also refute the statement disseminated by several of the mass media, ie that rooms on other floors were flooded whilst the fire was being put out.
