This was stated by Lesia Zaburanna, MP, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Budget.
“Ukraine will receive military support from the United States, as well as a loan of $7.85 billion in direct financial assistance to the state budget. These funds cannot be used for social payments, but they can be used to pay salaries to all people involved in the public sector of the economy. This is also a significant item of state budget expenditure, and we need these funds,” the MP said.
According to her, in March this year, the Ukrainian budget received record revenues from partners.
“We have received almost USD 8 billion in external loans and non-repayable financial assistance. This is primarily support from the EU, Japan, Norway, Canada, the IMF and the World Bank. We clearly understand how much we can expect to receive under the Ukraine Facility this year – between EUR 16 and 18 billion – we also expect a fixed amount from the IMF, we understand the terms of cooperation and the amount of proceeds from the World Bank, and our international partners have outlined their positions. All these agreements show that we will receive the necessary funds,” the MP said.
She added that the Ministry of Finance and the Cabinet of Ministers are working with international partners to ensure that there is a uniform flow of money to cover all items of state budget expenditures. We are talking about about $3 billion a month.
