During the meeting, ECHO Director Andreas Papaconstantinou presented the work of the Directorate and informed about the peculiarities of the implementation of EU-funded programmes in Ukraine aimed at providing humanitarian assistance to the affected persons.

Expressing his gratitude to the delegation for the assistance provided by international partners to Ukraine, Andrii Zadorozhnyi informed his foreign colleagues about the activities of the Committee, focusing on legislative initiatives aimed at improving the observance of the rights of persons affected by the armed aggression against Ukraine. At the same time, it was noted that since the state is facing many challenges, including an increased burden on the State Budget of Ukraine, the draft laws adopted by the Parliament must be financially secured.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation.
