The participation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in the Ukraine - South-Eastern Europe Summit, held in the Albanian capital Tirana, is a very important event that will facilitate the flow of assistance to our country from this region.

This was stated by Mariia Mezentseva, the MP, Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Ukraine's Integration with the EU, Head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE.

“Our country is on the path of European integration and is also protecting peace and stability throughout Europe. Accordingly, the summit is not a symbolic meeting, but a very practical one. The countries that attended expressed their support for the security guarantees that were in place at the G7 and the NATO Vilnius summit. We expect support with weapons, in particular, in the production of artillery, shells, drones, as well as at the humanitarian level,” the MP said.

She expressed confidence that the Ukrainian Peace Formula, which is also shared by the countries of the Western Balkans, is the key to peace and victory.

The MP also added that all those partners who arrived in Ukraine on the second anniversary of russia's full-scale invasion went home with clear tasks: they will all lobby for aid packages for our country at the level of their countries. This includes weapons, ammunition, financial support, and compensation for the damage caused by russia.

“Today we are talking about the understanding that each shell delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces will reduce the need for humanitarian aid, assistance to temporarily displaced persons and increase the overall capacity of not only Europe but also global democracies. Of course, important areas of work are the return home of our prisoners, illegally deported children, and changes to international humanitarian law. We cannot remain silent. Ukrainians all over the world should speak out about the war crimes of the russian federation so that the aggressor feels pressure,” the politician concluded.
