A situation has arisen in the defence procurement market that creates a risk of bankruptcy of national supplier enterprises. To solve this problem, draft law No. 10454, which amends the law “On Defence Procurement”, was adopted in the second reading.
This was stated by Olena Khomenko, the MP, member of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence.
“The problem arose due to different interpretations of government resolutions on what should or should not be included in the price. Those companies that included profit in the prices of the goods and services they provided or sold to the Ministry of Defence became involved in criminal proceedings. The adopted draft law, after being signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and the President, will resolve this issue and allow companies to include profit in defence procurement prices,” the MP explained.
