During an online meeting with committee chairmen and members of the Croatian Parliament, Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk asked the Sabor to adopt a resolution condemning the forced deportation of Ukrainian children by russia.

“This can be done on the basis of the recently adopted comprehensive PACE resolution on the protection of Ukrainian children,” she said.

Another important issue that requires the support of Croatia and other friends and partners of our country is the confiscation of frozen russian assets for the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine.

“A new challenge is the illegal so-called presidential elections in russia, particularly in the occupied territories of Ukraine. We ask not to recognise the results of these elections. putin must be illegitimate,” said Olena Kondratiuk.

The Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also expressed her hope that the friendly Croatia will continue to support Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.

“We thank Sabor and the Government of Croatia for their comprehensive support of Ukraine during the russian aggression. Especially for the assistance in demining and rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian defenders,” said Olena Kondratiuk.

The online meeting was attended by: the Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee Gari Cappelli, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee Domagoj Hajduković, Chairman of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee Erik Fabijanić, Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Zdravka Bušić, and Ambassador of Ukraine to Croatia Vasyl Kyrylych.
