Ukraine's signing of bilateral agreements on security guarantees with Germany and France is a confirmation that these countries are committed to providing us with weapons, financial assistance, sharing technologies and creating joint production facilities.

This was stated by Yehor Chernev, the MP, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO PA.

“Security Assurance Agreements for Ukraine are, in fact, what was previously in the Ramstein format, but the voluntary basis becomes the responsibility of each country that signs these documents. This means that there will be assistance to Ukraine on an ongoing basis. Basically, all the agreements are similar, but the differences are in the directions. We gave several areas to choose from, and each country assigns one or the other to itself,” the MP explained.

According to him, active negotiations with partners on the transfer of certain types of weapons to Ukraine are ongoing.
