The Chairman of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the EU met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen. Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze thanked Turkey for its military and humanitarian assistance. She hopes that this assistance will not only continue, but also increase. The Committee's Chairperson named the priority types of weapons that Ukraine needs now. These are air defense systems, artillery systems (including mortars, anti-aircraft guns, counter-battery radars and long-range missiles), heavy machinery, demining equipment and aircraft.

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze thanked Turkey for its active participation in the Crimean Platform Summit. “We highly appreciate the participation of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform. We are also grateful for Turkey's role in the creation and functioning of the International Crimean Platform,” said the Committee Chair. She expressed hope that Turkey would continue to support Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration. “As Turkey has consistently supported our Euro-Atlantic integration, we hope that it will demonstrate a proactive position in preparing for the NATO Washington Summit to invite Ukraine to join the Alliance,” the Committee Chair said.

She thanked Mustafa Levent Bilgen for realizing the importance of parliamentary diplomacy. “We had a large delegation from Turkey to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Cooperation. We are interested in having other parliamentarians come here as well. Because personal presence in Ukraine and a clear understanding of the situation will help build our constructive cooperation,” summarized Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
