Most of these were concerned with the Consideration of Draft Legislative Acts, Adherence by The People's Deputies of Ukraine to The Standing Orders of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, The Laws of Ukraine 'On the Status of The People's Deputy of Ukraine', and 'On The Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine´, and addressed the provision of activities of The People's Deputies of Ukraine and The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in general.
The Committee has analysed twelve Legislative proposals appertaining to Amendments to The Law of Ukraine 'On the Status of The People's Deputy. It has offered its opinion on these Legislative Acts, and submitted it for further consideration by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Committee has prepared a Bill 'On Amendments to Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine appertaining to The Replacement of Obligatory State Insurance with Compensation Payments' (Reg. No. 3238). These amendments are related to the procedure of State Insurance of The People's Deputies of Ukraine.
The Committee has elaborated The Draft Resolutions amending The Standing Orders of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Committee has considered Appeals from The People's Deputies, and 5 Draft Resolutions cancelling those decisions of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which are not in line with the Standing Orders.
The Committee has studied 18 Draft Resolutions on the setting up of Interim Investigation and Ad Hoc Panels, and recommended that Parliament adopts 4 of them.
The Committee has also studied 399 letters from Citizens, Officials and The People's Deputies of Ukraine. Many of the appeals from citizens refer to the non-adherence by The People's Deputies of Ukraine to The Law of Ukraine 'On the Status of the People's Deputy of Ukraine', and namely, their intrusion into the operation of State-owned businesses and their Privatization process, the work of Local Governments and Law-enforcement bodies, their failure to reply in good time to addresses and appeals from citizens, unethical conduct towards their colleagues and Deputies of Regional and District Councils, and their failure to fulfil pre-election promises and commitments made to the voters.
The voters also referred to the violation, by some of The People's Deputies, of the provision concerning the incompatibility of the Deputy's Mandate with other activities.
42 Draft Laws and Resolutions are currently being resolved by The Committee.
