Archive Science, The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada stressed in his address, is an integral component of our People´s National culture. He said ‘The setting up of The National Archives during the stormy days of 1917, creation of the Archeographical Commissions, realisation of an extensive publishing programme, returning the documents from foreign archives, and the extension of access to the primary sources of our history, are of paramount importance to the establishment of Ukrainian Statehood´.

 

Addressing the employees of 693 Ukrainian Archives, O. Moroz underlined their 'unique historic mission of collecting and preserving millions of pages of documents displaying and immortalizing the glorious and dramatic history of our People´.

 

The Chairman of  The Verkhovna Rada characterized the National Archive Fund as a huge scientific and cultural treasury, concentrating the Nation´s memory throughout eight centuries of written and recorded history. He believes that future generations will learn the true and balanced history of the new Ukraine, thanks to the diligent work of the Archive Service staff.

 

O. Moroz wished The State Archive Service Members further creative inspiration for their noble work. ‘May each new day inspire you to new achievements, full of creative content and gratitude from your compatriots,' emphasized The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
