The Bill (Reg. No. 0898) aims at coordination of legislative acts of Ukraine regarding securing equal rights and opportunities of women and men due to adoption of the Law "On securing Equal Rights and Opportunities of Women and Men".
Inter alia, the Committee members took into consideration the amendment to Article 13 of the Labor Code of Ukraine regarding supplementing the collective agreements with statements that "secure equal rights and opportunities of women and men".
The Committee members also upheld the proposals to the Law "On Public Associations", pursuant to which the public associations have "a right of participation in elaborating Bills and resolutions on the issues of gender equality that are adopted by the executive and local self-government bodies". They also have a right to "delegate their representatives to consultative-advisory bodies on the issues of securing equal rights and opportunities of women and men that are affiliated to the executive and local self-government bodies".
