According to the report of the Citizens´ Applications Office of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate, over 47 thousand issues were raised in public appeals, applications and complaints.  The biggest part of appeals regard the issues of law-enforcement (28,6% of their total amount); social security and provision of pensions (24,1%); events in Ukraine and abroad, the activities of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and  The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 5th Convocation, appraisal of activity of authority bodies and the People´s Deputies of Ukraine (9,0%); housing, utility and road services (6,6%); reforming of economy, market relations, entrepreneurship, privatization, tax and prices policy (6,0%).

It was the socially unprotected sections of population who mainly appealed for assistance of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Over 10 thousand proposals, applications and complaints of the citizens were submitted to The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in January-June 2007. The following committees considered the biggest number of appeals: Committee on the matters of pensioners, veterans and disabled people (2699) on fighting organized crime and corruption (1340), on justice (1269), on economic policy (891) on legislative support of law enforcement (793).

The Deputy Factions of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered 5 thousand proposals, applications and complaints.

More than 2 thousand citizens appealed to the leaders of the parliament and 1390 of them applied to O.O.Moroz, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 

Pursuant to the information, granted by the deputy factions´ secretariats, more than 260 thousand electors appealed to the People´s Deputies and their assisting consultants in electoral districts in January-June 2007.

The appeals, applications and complaints, submitted to The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, were considered in accordance with current legislation and were sent to relevant bodies of State authority, local government, prosecutor´s offices and court for systematic analysis and settlement of the indicated issues. The appeals including proposals for legislation improvement were considered in The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committees.
