The First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Adam Martyniuk, met with Igor Soltes, President of The Court of Audit of The Republic of Slovenia

 

A. Martyniuk advised the Slovenian Representatives of the rates of Ukraine's economic advances, and outlined the political situation on the eve of the election, emphasizing its complex make-up. 'However, despite our Parliament, as a whole, having been declared invalid from April 2007, The People's Deputies continue to work and are making important decisions,' he said.

 

The First Vice-Speaker of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine referred to The Court of Audit of Ukraine as the most stable Public Authority, saying that its Chairman, V.Symonenko, has been invariably occupying this post throughout 11 years. He expressed his hope that these significant bodies in Ukraine and Slovenia will work together and exchange experiences, especially as The Court of Audit of Slovenia has more contact with European structures,

 

I. Soltes explained to those present at the Meeting about the political problems in Slovenia stemming from the conflict between The President and The Government, and also made them aware of the current co-operation between International organisations and The Court of Audit of Slovenia. At the end of this Meeting, he expressed his firm belief in a continued productive co-operation with The Court of Audit of Ukraine.
