One of the Motions carried was to list, in alphabetical order, the Parliamentary Committees in the Resolution 'On the List, Membership and Subject Matter of the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th Convocation'.
M. Azarov, the Coordinator of the Sub-Group responsible for the organisation of the Deputy Factions and the Coalition of Deputy Factions, and also the List of Committees in The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th Convocation together with their Subject Matter and principles underlying their formation, remarked on a discussion, arising at the Sub-Group Meeting, referring matters related to the activities of The President of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and other Central Executive Authorities, within the scope of The State Organisation and Local Government Committee. As, he commented, the Sub-Group has failed to reach agreement, it was decided to submit this matter to the Session.
The People's Deputies have also expressed varying points of view as to the Subject Matter of the European Integration Committee, and the Foreign Affairs Committee, and in particular issues concerning Trans-border Co-operation. A decision was therefore taken in the outcome of discussions to submit two versions of the Subject-Matter of these Committees to the Session, listing them in a Comparative Table.
Also, the People's Deputies remain undecided on the matter of State Policy in the field of development and use of languages: should this be attributed to the Culture and Spirituality Committee or Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations?
