The Secretariat of the Committee said it is offered to expand the territory of the city of Sumy by 753.58 hectares inter alia at the expense of allocation of 178 hectares of lands controlled by the Pischane village council of Konotopskyi district of the city of Sumy; 172.68 hectares of lands of the Chervone village council of Sumy district; 402.9 hectares of lands of the Sumy city council; and to validate the total territory of the city of Sumy at 9,538.58 hectares and the territory of Sumy district at 185,357.32 hectares.
As a result of the consideration of the said issue, the Committee decided to recommend that the Verkhovna Rada support the appeal of the Sumy regional council on change and establishment of borders of city of Sumy and Sumy district of Sumy region.
