When delivering her speech to the conferees, Mariia Ionova, Vice-Chairperson, Euro-Integration Committee pointed out that the three countries - Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova - managed a lot in terms of the European pathway and cooperation with the EU.

"We are the three countries on the right track - all of us are in EU association agreements in force, we have built up deep and comprehensive ties in the area of free trade, we have succeeded in introducing a visa-free regime. We are those three countries where the path to integration with the EU is strategic by nature,” said Mariia Ionova, having added that cooperation in the Eastern Partnership format could also serve as an example for other countries striving to strengthen cooperation with the EU.

Mariia Ionova then spoke about the work of the Committee on European Integration she chairs on implementing legislation concerning Ukraine’s obligations within the EU Association Agreement. In that context, she voiced her high hopes that the pre-election campaign would not slack off the work pace.
