Andriy Parubiy, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as part of a delegation headed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, pays a working visit to Turkey on January 5-6, 2019

The programme of the visit includes meeting with Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and visitation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in order to communicate with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I on January the 5th.

The delegates will take part in the ceremony of signing the Tomos by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and offering a solemn orison at the Patriarchal Church of St. George. Upon completion of the signing procedure, there will be made statements by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius, and the President of Ukraine P.Poroshenko.

On January the 6th, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy and members of the delegation will take part in a ceremony of presenting the Tomos, the Divine Liturgy, and a blessing of waters ceremony in the Golden Horn.

Members of the Ukrainian delegation will also visit the grave of the Ukrainian political figure V.V. Murskyi at the Catholic Cemetery and take part in a water consecration ceremony at the Patriarchal Church of St. George.
