The Constitutional Court recognized the Declaration of Independence of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as non-constitutional

The Constitutional Court recognized the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea “On the Declaration of Independence of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city” as non-constitutional.

Respective decision was made by the Constitutional Court on March 20, 2014, after consideration of a constitutional submission of the acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov regarding legitimacy of this resolution.
