Oleksandr Turchynov hopes the newly elected Parliament to work better than the present-day

 “I hope a lot that the newly elected Parliament will work better than the Parliament of the seventh convocation,” claimed Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in the interview to 24 News TV channel on Wednesday.

Having reminded that history of the current convocation of the Verkhovna Rada “is extremely complicated”, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that: “After the victory of Maidan and ruination of Yanukovych’s regime we have actually managed to form a new majority and the Parliament has being working enough efficiently during these several months. The laws indeed important to the state were being adopted.”

Among the most important decisions adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation, Oleksandr Turchynov named synchronic ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement jointly with the European Parliament, as well as legislative acts on renewing authority, fight against corruption, strengthening country’s defense capacity, on higher education and on establishment of Public television.
