"Elections can be held only in those regions and cities that are controlled by the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian military men, where we can ensure our citizens' right to free expression of the will", said Oleksandr Turchynov on Tuesday during the briefing.
"We should understand that elections must be fair, transparent, and democratic. Members of election commissions as well as observers shall be present during the electoral process, and we can ensure this only on those territories that are controlled by our military men and Ukrainian government", claimed Oleksandr Turchynov.
In his words, what concerns temporary occupied cities and regions of Donbas, "it will be a farce, a falsification, an attempt to legalize killers and terrorists in order to discredit the electoral process".
