The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy is about to propose the parliament considering a bill drafted to legally arrange the procedure of transition of Moscow Patriarchate churches under the wing of the Ukrainian local church

After Ecumenical Patriarch's recent signing the Tomos for Ukraine’s local church, the speaker underscored in his Istanbul interview to the media that transition of the faithful to the Ukrainian church would soon grow into a simonpure billow. According to him, over forty parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) have already moved to the new local church.

In his opinion, Moscow will try to provoke conflicts. "And there must be overall sentiment of the entire society and authorities to prevent any provocations that may only be in the interests of the Kremlin," he said, adding he had communicated with many priests on the issue.

The chairperson underlined that the MP churches transition procedure should be utterly well-ordered and elaborated as meticulously as possible.

A.Parubiy clued up that he is set on offering the parliament to consider a draft law on the issue in the next plenary week.

This move, alongside receipt of the Tomos, will allow this transition to develop into a real comber, when all Ukrainians from different parts of Ukraine start coming to the Ukrainian сhurch and becoming its members," said Andriy Parubiy.
