Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety discusses ways to improve privatization process and attract private capital to fuel and energy facilities in Ukraine

First Deputy Chair of the Committee, Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, called the topic of the discussion important and added that the function of the parliamentary control is extremely important to ensure transparency and efficiency of the privatization process.

Deputy Chair of the Committee Olha Belkova said that the meeting was the first in a chain of discussions to be continued in coming weeks. According to the Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, creation of competitive conditions for energy markets operation, distribution of energy resources supply and transportation functions and introduction of stimulating tariff making are the preconditions for successful privatization.

The participants in the meeting informed about current course of privatization of fuel and energy facilities, plans for the near future as well as about the vision of prospects of the privatization process.
