"Ukraine needs professional and honest civil servants," Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii said this congratulating the interns within the framework of the festive ceremony of closure of the Internship Program at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2015-2016).

Parubii called this day an important day for boys and girls from different regions of Ukraine, who once came into the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to become the participants in this Internship Program.

At that, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted: "The Parliament is the most effective platform to change our country."

"New Ukraine is formed in the Parliament, in fact, you are the new Ukraine," Parubii said. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada wished the interns success and victories and called for further cooperation in favor of the state of Ukraine.

One of the participants in the ceremony was U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt. He called on the interns to believe in themselves, remain involved and not to believe those, who say they cannot choose their own independent future.

The American Diplomat said that in several weeks, he would end his work in Ukraine and assured he would continue monitoring the situation in Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Internship Programme is a part of a 5-year USAID Programme "RADA: Responsible, Accountable and Democratic Assembly."
