Groysman: new law on state service has to be adopted by late 2015

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman expects the new law on state service, elaborated along with European partners, to be adopted before the end of this year.

In his interview to the Rada parliamentary TV channel on Friday, Groysman informed that the relevant Committee had prepared the draft law for its second reading.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that at present, the system of the state service creates conditions for corruption.

To this extent, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the system of the state service had to have required number of professional officials earning good salaries. "The state will work for citizens, not vice versa," he said.

Groysman explained that the authorities' major task was to raise living standards, average wages and pensions.
